Universal Business Language (UBL) is a standardized XML-based format used to exchange business documents electronically between companies, organizations, and government agencies.
UBL was developed to provide a common structure for documents such as invoices, purchase orders, credit notes, and other business documents.
Why is UBL Important?
Different businesses and accounting systems often use different document formats. UBL creates a common language that allows systems to exchange documents automatically without manual data entry.
