This guide explains how to use Speedboostr to manage SEO meta tags for product, collection, and blog pages on your Shopify store.
-
Access SEO Audit Menu:
Locate the menu option labelled "SEO Audit" or similar within the Speedboostr app.
-
Meta Tags Menu:
Within the SEO Audit section, you should find a menu button labeled "Meta Tags". Click on this button.
-
Page-Specific Sections:
Upon clicking "Meta Tags," you'll likely see separate sections for each page type:
-
Product Pages: Here, you can manage the meta title and meta description for your product pages.
-
Collection Pages: This section allows you to configure the meta title and meta description for your product collections.
-
Blog Pages: You'll likely find options to set up the meta title and description for your blog posts.
-
-
Setting Up Meta Tags:
Within each page section, you'll find text boxes where you can enter the desired meta title and meta description for that page type.
-
Meta Title: This is the title displayed in search engine results and browser tabs. Keep it concise, informative, and relevant to the page content.
-
Meta Description: This is a brief description of the page content displayed in search engine results. It should entice users to click on your listing.
-
-
Overwrite Option:
You might see an option labeled "Overwrite existing meta data" or similar next to the text boxes. This checkbox determines how Speedboostr handles existing meta tags:
Overwrite Checkbox Enabled: If checked, any existing meta title or description for that page will be replaced with the values you enter in Speedboostr app.
Overwrite Checkbox Disabled: Leaving it unchecked allows Speedboostr to leave your existing meta tags intact, using the values you provide only if there are none currently set.
Important Notes:
- Effective meta tags are crucial for SEO as they influence how your store appears in search engine results.
- Consider crafting unique and relevant meta tags for each product, collection, and blog post to improve search visibility.
- Maintain a balance between including relevant keywords and keeping the content concise and user-friendly.
