Noindex pages

Learn how to setup Noindex pages for your store

This guide explains how to configure noindex pages using Speedboostr for your Shopify store (available only on paid plans). Noindex pages are intentionally excluded from search engine indexing, preventing them from appearing in search results.

  1. Access SEO Audit Menu:

    Locate the menu option labelled "SEO Audit" within the Speedboostr app.

     

  2. Noindex Menu:

    Within the SEO Audit section, you should find a menu button labelled "Noindex". Click on this button.

     

     

  3. Selecting Noindex Pages:

    On this screen, you'll see options to mark specific pages or sections of your store as noindex:

    • Home Page: You able to enable or disable noindex for your store's homepage.

    • Products: This option allow you to specific product categories should be excluded from indexing.

    • Collections: Similar to products, you able to configure noindex for specific ones.

    • Custom URLs: This could allow you to enter individual URLs of specific pages you want to exclude from indexing.

     

  4. Managing Noindex Status:

    You'll see a table listing the various page types or URLs you can configure. This table might also display options to remove a page or URL from the noindex list if it was previously marked.

     

     

Important Notes:

  • Noindexing pages can be useful for various reasons, such as excluding password-protected areas, temporary pages under development, or pages with duplicate content.
  • This feature is not available on the free "Startup Plan" of Speedboostr. Upgrading to a paid plan is required to manage noindex pages within the app.
  • Utilize noindex strategically to prevent irrelevant pages from appearing in search results while ensuring important content gets indexed effectively.
